This work is relational, consent-based, and grounded in respect for both individual and collective experience.

It is shaped by ongoing study, accountability, and care. And it continues to evolve.

Ethics & Values

Somathai™ is rooted in respect for lineage, for bodies, and for the social conditions that shape how we live inside them.

Bodies do not exist outside of context. Race, gender, class, trauma history, caregiving roles, and systemic inequities all influence how a nervous system organizes and how a person experiences touch.

To practice responsibly requires awareness of these realities, and a commitment to working within one’s scope, training, and integrity.

Consent & Relational Integrity

Touch is powerful.

In both sessions and trainings, consent is ongoing and collaborative. Clients and students are encouraged to communicate clearly, pause when needed, and adjust participation at any time.

Relational skill is practiced, not assumed.
Boundaries are part of the work.

Practitioner Sustainability

This work values longevity.

Sarah works with a small number of clients at a time, keeping training cohorts intimate to preserve depth, attention, and sustainability for herself and for those she teaches.

Sustainable practitioners build sustainable communities.

Lineage & Cultural Respect

Somathai™ is informed by Thai bodywork traditions.

This work honors traditional Nuad Bo-Rarn and the teachers who have carried it forward. It is not a substitute for formal Thai medical study, but a relational application of traditional principles within my scope of training and experience.

Continued study, humility, gratitude, and acknowledgment of source traditions are ongoing commitments.

Accessibility & Economic Awareness

Somathai™ is committed to expanding access to this work in ways that acknowledge economic barriers shaped by systemic inequity and life circumstance.

Pricing is structured to sustain the work responsibly while offering payment plans, community care clinics, and limited scholarships for those navigating financial barriers.

The intention is not charity, but participation - contributing to a field that is more equitable and more aware.

Ongoing Education & Accountability

Social awareness, trauma literacy, and relational ethics are not static competencies.

Sarah remains engaged in ongoing study, consultation, and refinement of her practice. Integrity requires continued attention, both personally and collectively. Feedback is welcomed. Growth is ongoing.

This page is a living document. It reflects current commitments and may evolve as the work evolves.
