Each session is unique and tailor-made for you. Specific ailments and conditions such as back, neck and joint pain, stiffness or impaired range of motion, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, numbness and menstrual discomfort are addressed. After a brief assessment, your treatment will begin and may include one or more of the following: broad and targeted acupressure point therapy, light stretches and manual movement, myofascial release, energy line work, chi nei tsang, traditional Thai herbal healing balms, and/or Reiki. You’ll experience a physical sense of lengthening and broadening in the body and a clear meditative mind state with improved energy flow, blood circulation, flexibility, joint mobility and posture.

In this private workshop, you and your partner are assisted in identifying the areas of stress and tension in each others bodies. We discuss how you each want to be touched and learn techniques for either increasing or decreasing the amount of pressure or stretch. We all want to be the best partner we can be to our significant other – knowing how to heal your partner is a vital part of that.

There are 7 major chakras connected to and a part of the physical body and each has the ability to receive, assimilate and transmit energy. When we are in a state in ill health, the chakras may be distorted, out of alignment or even stagnant. When this happens, life force energy cannot flow in and out freely and the physical body may suffer. Stress, inability to express emotions, over emotional expression, beliefs incongruent with Truth, disconnection from a higher power, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, exposure to toxicity, etc. can cause the chakra system to close down.
This deeply healing session facilitates in the removal of stuck emotions and limiting beliefs & assists emotional and physical well-being through the use of Thai bodywork, crystals, essential oils, herbal tinctures, sound therapy, and Reiki.

One of the most special therapies to come out of Thailand, 15 different healing and aromatic herbs, most of them native only to Southeast Asia, are hand chopped and wrapped tightly in organic, unbleached cotton to form compact balls or compresses that are then steamed and gently pressed into sore and tight muscles. Herbal massage is known for its healing properties. It improves blood circulation and stimulates the internal organs. The heat opens pores and dilates blood vessels, increasing blood and oxygen circulation in the body and improves organ function. Each herb used in the compress offers a different, specific benefit such as detoxification, anti-inflammation, antiseptic, uterine nourishment, softening of the tendons, anti-itch, arthritis and pain relief, and immune boosting. Combined with gentle Thai Yoga stretches, muscles are softened and relax into increased flexibility.

Traditionally, yoga was ‘whispered wisdom’, a lineage handed down from one teacher to one student. As yoga has grown in the American mainstream, group classes became the norm. This is wonderful, as it allows anybody anywhere to experience yoga. It can be a cost effective way to have a consistent practice. However, classes can be intimidating, alienating, or too generalized for what you most need and want. Private sessions return yoga to its heart: the goal of personal transformation through personal practice. In my own practice and as a teacher, I have seen that a few private yoga classes can teach more than years of group classes. This is especially true at the beginning of a practice, at a point of ‘taking it to the next level’, or when students have specific physical, emotional, or private concerns. Private sessions are entirely adaptive, supportive, and personal: any body, with any degree of mobility, can find here the profound healing, restoration, and preventative benefits of a yoga practice.
